My research involves analyzing high-throughput metabolomic data using nonnegative matrix factorization. I will be assisting in testing new nmf algorithms using multiple real datasets and providing helpful conclusions about both the datasets themselves and the accuracy and efficiency of the algorithms. Material Handler
-
May 2017 - Aug 2017
In this role, I was expected to deliver the correct materials to the correct individuals on an assembly line when they required more materials. However, I made it a point to always ensure none of my coworkers had to request additional materials because I would always provide more before they ran out, increasing the efficiency of the daily processes at our plant. I really enjoyed this position and it reinforced valuable skills such as time management and critical thinking. Additionally, it also increased my ability to learn and apply information more quickly, as there was a new product and process nearly every day.
