Responsible for administration of institution’s financial aid programs. CSM disburses approximately $16 million annually in funds from multiple Federal, state, institutional and private sources. Oversee Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) appeal process. Coordinate with SAP Appeal committee to ensure the consistent and fair review of approximately 350-400 SAP appeals on an annual basis. Coordinated with Academic and Career Services, the implementation of Academic Plans for students to meet new Federal regulations. Ensure compliance with various federal, state and institutional regulations. Consistently completed annual Federal and state reporting requirements accurately and on time. Provide annual updates to the college catalog to provide students with up to date CSM financial assistance policy information. Improved Continuing Education financial assistance information so that students and financial assistance staff members have the correct information for Continuing Education programs.Manage a team of 8 financial assistance and 2 veteran’s benefits staff members spread out over three campuses. Staff member are responsible for various aspects of the financial assistance and veterans educational benefits processes.Successfully completed implementation of CSM OneCard, an integrated student id card and electronic payment refund card.Successfully managed the implementation of AcademicWorks online scholarship application.
