I am in charge of all color computer systems for A. Schulman, Inc. since 2002. We purchased Minolta CM-3600d spectrophotometers for all of our North American facilities in 1999 and after a few years of struggling to use the Minolta color correction software without success we decided to look at other options. In late 2002 we brought in Datacolor and Isocolor and performed a side by side comparison using the exact same characterization color chips that were developed for the Minolta and loaded them into both Datacolor and Isocolor's system. The results of our study was that overall the IsoMatch software was able to match the color quicker and was easier to use than the Datacolor software. We purchased the IsoMatch software in early 2003 we are still able to use the Minolta CM-3600d spectrophotometers since it wasn't a bad instrument it was just the Minolta color matching/correction software which did not perform to the level of our expectation. Christian helped me to develop and improve upon our existing databases. We went from an average of 6 shots to match a color down to about 3 shots to match. His knowledge of color theory is excellent, The Isocolor team is very responsive any time I have a problem it is usually fixed the same day. If I ask them to develop/modify something specific for Schulman's applications they are quick to reply with an answer on feasibility and timing. They deliver these custom modifications within a reasonable time frame. I have had new employees come to work for Schulman from other color houses and they have all been very impressed with the accuracy of the Isomatch software. I have nothing but the highest praises for Christian Voigner and his team. He has made my job easier and is a pleasure to do business with.
