      Project: Environment Rehabilitation Program Under UN Legislation for Indemnification - North Kuwait Excavation, Transportation and Remediation (NKETR Zone-2) Project Overview: 1. Excavate contaminated material and comply with Remediation Target Criteria (RTC) within excavations. 2. Identify and quantify as per site soil characterization the volumes of soil for Total Petroleum Hydrocarbon (TPH) n-hexane extractable material (HEM, analyzed by USEPA 9071B) ranges (from >1% to ≤ 5%, from >5% to ≤7%, and >7%) for review and approval by the Company. 3. Segregate soil based on level of contamination. 4. Carry out all necessary pre-treatment processes (including for water) as necessary based on the remediation method (physical and/or chemical treatment technologies and bioremediation). 5. Design and construct expansion to the existing NK landfill (as directed and approved by the Company). Landfill volume will depend on the volumes of tarry and burnt untreatable materials and the results of the bioremediation and treatment technologies Treatment Optimization Studies. 6. Non-treatable soil/material as deemed necessary (if designated and approved by the Company), shall be temporarily stockpiled, transported, and disposed of at the NK landfill expansion (waste disposal), or placed in a holding area for final disposal by Company. 7. Placement of treated soil in designated locations, excavated areas, or re-use as backfilling or cover material at the potential NK landfill expansion facility, at existing gatch pits, or other areas as directed by the Company.
