      As Director of Coffee Operations, I oversaw all things coffee and operations that happen within the business. This included our roastery and in-office cafe. I guided roasting, sourcing, and staff and run the company's day-to-day operations and finances. In addition, I have also took on duties as a resident technician, social media fill-in, and mobile coffee barista. The past few years have been a definition of wearing multiple hats, especially during the worst pandemic. If something needed to be done, I was there doing it. Achievements: - Brought a more direct and transparent model of sourcing to Mission Coffee Co. and built several new relationships with farmer groups in Colombia, Costa Rica, and Nicaragua - Retained a small staff and built a pop up cafe to keep business viable during COVID lockdowns, including a draft latte bar. - Trained and onboarded team members brand new to roasting and coffee - Learned the depth of running a small business, including developing budgets, COGS, cash flow. - Designed multiple new potential cafes in Sketch Up. - Set up an in-office cafe (which is our only cafe still open today).
