The $24.7 billion Australia Pacific LNG (APLNG) project commenced production in late 2015, converting CSG to LNG for export to Asia. The Upstream component of the project included thousands of CSG wells linked by a vast network of gas and water gathering pipelines, gas compression facilities and water treatment plants, with the CSG feeding into a 530-kilometre gas transmission pipeline to an LNG facility on Curtis Island. From 2012 to 2015, intermittently mentored by top-tier management consulting firms in strategy consulting and data analysis from the likes of McKinsey & Co, KPMG, RLG and Partners in Performance. This mentorship was implemented in the development, execution, and optimisation of design and construction schedules, resource profiles and cash flows across multiple projects and teams using Oracle Primavera P6 project schedule software and data driven analytical strategies and analyses to communicate key insights and actionable recommendations on critical project drivers as well as strategic solutions to positive and negative scenarios, client, and counterparty risk, and consolidating this information into concise reports, charts, and slides to best assist project stakeholders in optimal decision making and weekly and monthly reporting. Additional responsibilities included providing technical and procedural supervision and mentoring for subordinate team members, consultants, and contractors, employing a “one-team” approach towards the efficient achievement of key project milestones, detailed analysis of project performance, identifying bottlenecks and streamlining solutions, developing and implementing project operating procedures and training team members, devising theoretical outcomes relative to proposed alternative business strategies, evaluating and managing a portfolio of contractor and consultant schedules and determining financial and schedule impacts created by unplanned events. Project Aurora was a multi-disciplinary joint venture between BGC Contracting, United Group Resources and Bilfinger Berger (now Lendlease) for the design and construction of a $955 million ammonium nitrate production facility for Dyno Nobel in Moranbah (QLD). BGC delivered supporting infrastructure buildings and civil works associated with the construction of heavy vehicle roads, bulk earthworks of 200,000m² cut to fill, stormwater drainage and concrete works of 12,000m³ insitu foundations. They also delivered clearing and grubbing, toil soil removal, re-use and lay down pads, a process water dam, 3 sedimentation dams and erosion protection works. Managed the engineering design and a portion of construction for 7 production facility infrastructure buildings which included hands-on supervision and coordination of tasks for subordinates, consultants, and contractors, reviewed compliance documents and coordinated discrepancies towards full resolution, assisted legal with the development of the standard contract agreement for contractors, developed high level schedules, assisted the development, award, and management of trade specific contracts and setting KPI’s and developing reports and forecasts.
