Lateral is a property development, investment and asset management business focused on the food store, retail and leisure sectors across the UK.During my time at Lateral I was tasked with a wide variety of tasks that challenged and pushed my abilities, that have elevated me where I am today.Lateral understood from day one that I think very differently to my colleagues and have the ability to think outside of the box. this lead me to become Head of Leisure where I was granted the fantastic opportunity to create the entire both indoor and outdoor leisure opportunities for the new Axiom Shopping Mall in Castleford. As Axiom had a draw of over 15 million visitors per year, it was a monumental task to create a wide variety of leisure offers to accommodate people of all ages and abilities. One of the saving graces was the attenuation ponds located within the country park, so when it was my idea to combine the ponds to form a usable leisure lake the architects and engineers got to work to see if it was possible and low and behold it was.What an opportunity it was to work on the Axiom project and I look forward to the day it opens.
