  I am responsible for benchmarking global digital innovations and drive them into our global service organization. Solving our customers’ problems with cutting edge tools and services, while improving internal efficiencies within our service organization. Opportunities addressed include quality and production efficiency and sustainability projects. I identify and focus on our customer needs through and create digital products following lean startup methodology and deliver them in an agile fashion. These connections are incredibly important to ensure that we add maximum value, and capture it. Strategically my role encompasses setting the vision, strategy, and management of the product life cycles through each enhancement and release.   Responsible for directing team of expert engineers in the design, build, installation, commissioning and maintenance of our custom paint application equipment. Active in prioritizing and directing the business to make capital investments in strategic, sustainable projects that will leverage our leadership position in this space at the lowest cost.

  Key responsibilities included the recommisioning of a process building and all of its sub systems relating to our project. These include a natural gas fired cure oven, 2 ton capacity overhead bridge crane, PLC, HMI, as well as various pumping and piping systems. The project has moved seamlessly from launch to production mode. Currently we are supporting daily production volumes that the prior process could handle in a weekly timeframe. I have two engineers and a site supervisor that report to me, and our team is very competent and confident. The main challenge with the current production phase is logistical coordination with the customers dynamic needs. Constant communication about timing and expectation as well as documentation are keys to the ongoing success of this project.I manage a team of three engineers and direct the development of proprietary equipment based on the industry's needs and my years of experience.   PPG provides our customers engineering support to assist in system design based on our experience from our global operation. I work with not only our customers, but the equipment vendors to drive technology and process knowledge forward. I support our organization globally, which includes travel to these regions. I work with a diverse group of people to immediately identify root causes of problems in our customer's systems as well. This includes interacting directly with everyone from automotive line workers to Vice Presidents of corporations. Show less
