The Assistant Used Car Manager has the opportunity to create new professional connections within and outside the dealership to generate greater returns and minimize loss. Job Responsibilities Leading yourself and the Pre-Owned team in a way that supports Toyota of Clermont's Vision and Mission Maintaining a clear set of goals for the sales team to achieve targeted performance in new and used vehicle sales and overall sales profit Accurately appraising vehicles that are brought in for trade and purchase Effectively purchasing vehicles from wholesale sources including auctions and other dealerships Partnering with Management to plan and manage used vehicle inventory Analyzing the business to determine shortfalls and developing action plans to improve performance Producing and maintaining all necessary paperwork needed for the department to operate efficiently Assisting the Used Car Director in tasks related to retail and wholesale duties Communicating with other departments inside the dealership to effectively get vehicles through the reconditioning process Achieve daily, weekly and/or monthly sales metrics Other reasonable duties as may be requested Requirements • High School diploma or equivalent • Automotive retail management experience, required (Toyota preferred) • Over 5 years of Sales management experience in a high volume industry • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills • Proven leadership ability • Ability to set and achieve targeted goals • Strong organizational skills • Customer focused • Energetic • Self-motivated
