As an AmeriCorps VISTA with the Lexington Rescue Mission I collaborated with local ministries, the city government, and marketplace leaders in Lexington to plan and open a daytime center for Lexington's homeless - a bridge to connect the homeless with the existing resources already operating to serve them. New Life Day Center is now its own 501(c)3 organization, doing an incredible job meeting the needs of and giving hope to the homeless.
