      This is the amazing story of a little "film festival that could". Starting as a seed of an idea about how great it would be to jump-start a Bay City film festival, this tireless organizational team, under the leadership of Alan LaFave, has created a film and music experience to rival those of larger cities with far greater access to sponsorship capital. With directors, actors, writers and musicians coming from far and wide to share their brand of storytelling, the Hell's Half Mile Film & Music Festival is not just an event for entertaining cinephiles and cine-freshman, it is a networky idea incubator for participating artists. Having worked on this team in nearly every capacity (from SWAG bag filler to Receptions Coordinator), I feel that I have gained - mostly through trial & error - a wealth of new skills which have helped to round out my experience of planning and executing various events.
