My employment with Wild Ginger was a rewarding and challenging learning experience that allowed me to develop greatly as a leader. •During the first year I worked closely with the GM to create and implement new rules and policies to reduce staff turn over, drive sales and elevate service standards by setting clearly defined and enforced expectations, improving the training structure and enhancing the focus on team work. •Our decision to utilize technology based scheduling optimized communication and facilitated increased flexibility and employee satisfaction with their ability to attain monetary goals, maintain school and personal obligations. There was an immediate elevation in moral, a noticeable increase of productivity and vast reduction in the frequency of call outs and scheduling conflicts. •Early on it was recognized that the organization of catering and group events came naturally and I was asked to coordinate all future events, taking time to help the host design a menu in tune with their budget and preferences. •My commitment to create effective communication within a culturally diverse staff was key in preparation for upcoming events and anticipated high volume periods such as graduation, holidays and local conventions, Through the duration of my employment I worked closely with vendors to create promotions through the assessment of national marketing campaigns and health/social trends, while utilizing volume and manufacture discounts to maximize profits and push on hand inventory more efficiently. Monthly assessment of the content, cost and rate of return for external marketing campaigns, development of a smart phone app, an increased budget for online advertising and the introduction of loyalty cards were key tools in expanding our customer base. **Wild Ginger had record sales for May 2014 exceeding any month in the past 5 years. - Letter of recommendation available on request.
