This position supervises the accounting staff to ensure timely and accurate transaction processing; oversees the AP and AR functions. Job summary: - Guide, recommends actions, and ensures proper conduct of all financial dealings - Contribute accounting and financial perspective and inputs to management decisions on overall agency goals and direction - Provide financial projections by managing monthly budget and forecast preparation; collecting, consolidating & analyzing data provided by account staff - Prepare monthly and annual financial statements & metrics reporting with analysis and recommendations for review by the owners - Collaborate with management team to optimize profitability through consistent time entry, utilization, effective resource management, pricing strategies & proper estimating and billing - Plan and complete the year-end close process, coordinating with external accounting firm as needed and providing the necessary documentation to them for company and owners’ tax returns - Ensure that credit risk is balanced with business objectives - Ensure that financial records are maintained in compliance with company policy and accounting industry practices - Prepare journal entries and all aspects of general ledger closing processes, both monthly & annually; conduct periodic reviews and reconciliation of general ledger accounts - Monitor agency work-in-process (WIP) levels to ensure accurate revenue reporting - Work alongside the Director of HR to ensure proper and timely preparation of payroll and related activities - Maintain top level contact with outside accounting firm and banking representatives
