Chris and I worked on various projects simultaneoulsy over approximately 7 years 2003 - 2010, where Chris took the lead role from an IT perspective and I took the lead from a Finance perspective. We worked together on analysis and development of many enhancements and business process changes, including centralisation of core business units, take-on of significant new clients and recovery from serious data corruption. In some projects Chris acted as analyst, some as developer, and some as local application support. Chris always provided sound advice toward usability of proposed developments, or over logical or operational problems that could arise from how the solution was designed. He was always very practical and insistent that the final design of software was able to be used in a practical full-load environment into the future. Additonally, Chris provided solid support during normal business practise, whether to resolve day-to-day issues or to mentor users through use of the systems that they were required to use with relativley little training or instruction.

I have worked with Chris over a number of years while I was part of the Technicolor HES business. Chris was a significant player in many of the change programmes that were undertaken that inevitably involved the creation of new tools, updating of existing tools and modification of data. His knowledge of the systems was fundamental to many aspects of the projects but coupled with his great talent to understand and digest the business requirements made him an extremely valuable member of the teams. Chris is a very positive, self-motivated individual that will always do what ever it takes to resolve a problem or just get a job done. He is experienced at working against very tight deadlines and still delivering to expectations.

      Technical Lead on two major customer projects - both of which involved the customer replacing their core IT system with Merret (Retail Assist product). The customers were Jacques Vert and Aurora Fashions.During both of these projects I built strong relationships with the customers and the key project personnel. The projects were both delivered successfully, and this was down to a combination of excellent teamwork, a 'can-do' attitude and a high level of commitment.The Jacques Vert implementation project was shortlisted in the "Supply Chain project of the year" category at the Retail Week Supply Chain Awards in 2012 and was nominated as the winner of the "Supply Chain Excellence" category at the 2013 Retail Week Technology Awards.The Aurora project was shortlisted for "Project of the Year" at the 2015 Retail Week Technology Awards.
