Chris was one of my best students at the University of Denver's Data Analytics Bootcamp, where I taught over 75 students over 18 months. I would recommend him without hesitation!

I highly recommend Chris Marchetti for a role in data analytics, data science, or data-visualization & development. I taught Chris during a 6-month data bootcamp at the University of Denver, where the curriculum included covered everything from Python to Plotly; Jupyter to Google CoLab Notebooks; sklearn & keras, as well as d3, Tableau & more. Chris was one of the most diligent students in terms of class attendance, and one of the most accomplished students in terms of his average grade. Chris was active and engaged in class. He would volunteer an answer for any of my open questions (thanks, Chris!) and he could often explain math concepts when other students had questions (like the magnitude of a vector, or the range of values expected from an R^2 score ). Chris had a passion for quality. His projects combined a thorough data analysis with a thoughtful UI and a great user-experience. Chris took his work seriously, and delivered one of the most well-rounded and well-managed final machine-learning projects of the class. Chris created a hierarchical model that predicted pitchers' vs position players' likelihood of being inducted into the MLB Hall of Fame. Chris worked through many classic challenges of machine learning, including an imbalanced data set (Chris was a class expert on imbalanced data!). Chris compared two or three different models; including a BalancedRandomForestClassifier, and LogisticRegression. He gave a thoughtful review on his methodology page, evaluating the classification reports and f1-scores for his classifiers. Chris continued to refine & improve his projects until demo day, and he was one of few who attended the industry-focused event. His passion extended outside the classroom; he took time to develop & host a personal page @ https://cmarche2ti.github.io/, teach his daughter Vivi the power of coding, and encourage students to have a maker-mindset. Any team would be lucky to have Chris, and I look forward to working with him again!
