  Worked at Timberland for over a year as a sales assistant. Part of the contract attached to the role, was that each member of staff would spend a week's worth of their usual contract hours (in my case 15 hours) doing work in the local community for good causes in our own time. We built fences for a Blind Riding School in Bristol, Clipped Hedgerows and bracken at Nature Reserves south of Bristol and more. We also all went and planted trees for a day on International Earth Day. This taught me an invaluable lesson about the benefits of extra-curricular activities alongside duties in the workplace.
