  I personally guided the team through one of the most economically difficult times in its history, providing security throughout that period. New techniques and modern processes were introduced inline with our Company ethos, which strengthened abilities and effectiveness.What I have learned from the colleagues I have worked with on our sites and in our office has been of the highest quality and I am very fortunate and proud to have had them as my mentors, still taking what I have learned from them, forward to this day. I also sensitively introduced new technologies across the board over the years, such as computers, email, CAD, web presence and in latter times new database systems, mobile devices, linking all employees even more together. Improving their working lives has always been a priority for me.(I have also invested in a tea and coffee making machine.)

  I became one of a large team that dealt with multi-million pound projects throughout the country and learned even more of the wealth of experience that comes from our highly qualified staff.

• Trainee Design/Project Engineer

  • 1992 - 1995

  Now concentrating on applying my engineering knowledge into the design of our state of the art systems. I was also given a promotion into the coffee making position - unfortunately I didn't make it to the end of my coffee probation.

• Office Assistant

  • 1988 - 1990

  This role took me across the Company as a whole, from Stores to Service, Reception to Finance. Tea making still was an issue!

• Fitters Mate

  • 1987 - 1989

  During school holidays, I helped as a Fitters Mate to learn to install heating and airconditioning systems, fetch and carry, sweep up and make the tea - the tea making stopped pretty quickly, as I was terrible at it!
