Method development for the quantification of oligonucleotides in plasma samples. Oligonucleotide therapeutics are synthetic short single RNA or double DNA strands that are designed to inhibit the expression of proteins related to a disease. This area even though not new has recently attracted attention and will provide an alternative as drug candidates to the dominating until now small molecules. Therefore it's important to develop an accurate and robust method for the qualitative and quantitative determination of these biomolecules in biological matrices. Show less

Feb 2018 - Jul 2018
An internship involving the synthesis of dienes using a palladium methodology, developed by the Organic Synthesis laboratory at ENSTA. Techniques utilized for the characterization of the product include tlc and column chromatography, NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry and IR spectroscopy. This internship was conducted under the supervision of Pr. Laurent El Kaim and Sebastien Prevost. My work at Institut des matériaux poreux de Paris (IMAP, FRE2000) was focused on the synthesis and characterization of industrially relevant iron and aluminum based Metal Organic Frameworks (MOFs) for applications such as volatile organic compound capture and cosmetics. Characterization techniques utilized were X-Ray Powder Diffraction, thermogravimetric Analysis, infrared spectroscopy and N2 porosimetry. This internship was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Farid Nouar.
