  Local Energy Scotland helps communities and rural businesses develop locally-owned renewable energy projects. I manage the Scottish Government's Community and Renewable Energy Scheme (CARES) that provides a wide range of support, including: - Free advice and support to help communities and rural businesses develop renewable energy schemes, - Start-up grants - Development and pre-planning loans up to £150k, - Support to access the Renewable Energy Investment Fund. Local Energy Scotland is a consortium made up of the Energy Saving Trust (EST), Changeworks, The Energy Agency, SCARF, The Wise Group and Ricardo-AEA.
