      Each week I help edit The Daily Iowan's sports stories and I'm currently one of four people covering the Hawkeye football team along with Austin Hanson, Chloe Peterson, and Isaac Goffin. Each week I attend a players' media availability session on Tuesdays and use that to provide various coverage throughout the week. So far this season, I've covered the Hawkeyes' season-opening win over South Dakota State and Iowa's Cy-Hawk loss to in-state rival Iowa State. For each of those two games, I was responsible for live-tweeting the game from The Dialy Iowan's official football Twitter account and keeping our website's live blog updated. After the South Dakota State game, I attended the Iowa press conference and wrote two feature articles. Following the Iowa State game, I went to Iowa State's press conference, wrote a feature, and also constructed our Twitter Reactions article. I quickly summarized the game and then located and embedded some of the funniest or most telling tweets from Hawkeye fans during and after the game. As an editor and football reporter, I'm keeping my writing skills sharp and working on leadership skills as I help our younger writers improve. Show less
