Jul 2004 – Mar 2006 Orica Spectrum Account Manager I had moved into an office-based sales position where I managed approximately 1300 customers, providing customer service, quotations and chemical knowledge. I was required to achieve minimum monthly sales and margin targets. Oct 2003 – Jul 2004 Orica – Spectrum Customer Service Spectrum is a division of Orica that deals with the smaller end of the chemical market. My main role consisted of allocating bulk tankers of sodium hypochlorite (for use in water treatment and pool cleaning) during the summer season, when stocks are tight due to the high volumes required by customers. Acquiring new business was a major objective. My exceptional efforts in this objective led me to a new role (see above). Mar 2003 – Oct 2004 Orica – Mining Division Customer Service I moved to a customer service role within the Mining Division of Orica, delivering sodium cyanide to mine sites in Queensland and Western Australia. The regular stock movements of isotainers from our cyanide plant in Gladstone to Kalgoorlie via train was a main part of the job, as well as organizing with transport the movement of the isotainers to the mine site itself to keep their stocks of cyanide (used in gold extraction) constant. Jun 2000 – Mar 2003 Orica – Export I became involved in the organization of containers of industrial chemicals for export to SE Asia, Africa and South America. I was dealing with shipping lines and freight forwarders on a regular basis. Jul 1999 – Jun 2000 Orica – Distribution I moved into a distribution role, generating delivery paperwork, picking and processing deliveries, and regular consultations with transport companies outside of Victoria (mainly Queensland and Western Australia). Nov 1997 – Jul 1999 Orica – ChlorAlkali Division Customer Service My first role at Orica was in customer service, organizing bulk deliveries (25 tonnes) to various customers in the dairy, fruit and galvanizing industries in Victoria.
