Jul 2008 - Present
Initially headhunted by the General Manager and one of the co-owners to lead part of the Design Studio based in New Zealand. Over the years I've been responsible for a wide variety of functions, from managing new product development from conception to market delivery, new game development as both a team member and as lead designer (the popular World of Tanks: Miniatures Game, licensed by Wargaming.net), as well as as well as a variety of marketing related functions including website and content management. Responsible for a team of up to 12 direct reports (including a mix of graphic designers, writers, artists/sculptors and content creators) both in office and remote, as well as indirect report(s) overseas. I also work closely with off-shore peers, especially in our Manufacturing team. During my "spare time" I also manage the day-to-day operations of the factory shop, from forecasting stock requirements, working with freight forwarders and organsing customer events. No two days in this organisation are ever the same... Show less
