Reporting to the Operations Manager, I am responsible for ensuring the magnetite concentrator plant at Iron Duke performs to budget throughput and quality. On a daily basis I deal with the various spanners that get thrown into the mix when working in production, be it process, control, maintenance or quality. With an excellent team to work with not a day goes by without some enjoyment, and there has not yet been a problem we haven't been able to deal with. Senior Process Engineer

Reporting to the Process Development Manager, my role involves providing project management towards medium to long term projects within Arrium Mining. Key areas of expertise include: • Project management from concept through to feasibility study (+/-25% capital accuracy), • Scheduling, cost estimation and project management, • Plant based metallurgical design and control, • Problem analysis and commercial assessments, • Industry research to further innovation in design, • Process design and commissioning, • Hazard and Risk analysis in design; including HAZOP/HAZID studies, • Data assimilation and results analysis, • Report writing and presentation at General Manager level, • Cultivation of strong professional network, both domestically and abroad. My role has included the following highlights: • Responsible for ongoing design and optimisation of Arrium’s magnetite processing plant, including key input into production increases of 25% over original plant design of 1.8Mtpa. • Lead process engineer on multiple capital studies from concept right through to final design, including Arrium’s Iron Baron mine production facility, of capital cost $25 Million and improving output by 250%. • Project manager of a portfolio of optimisation projects across the wider iron ore supply chain, including improving ore washing efficiency and reducing downstream cost by $6m p.a. • Experienced plant commissioning engineer, including Arrium’s Iron Duke magnetite processing plant, and the Iron Baron processing plant. • Authoring a paper presented to the AusIMM Iron Ore 2015 conference focusing on the commissioning of the Iron Duke magnetite processing plant. • Authoring and presenting to the AusIMM Iron Ore 2013 conference and publishing a paper on commissioning of the Iron Baron hematite processing plant.

As a process engineer within Technology development, I was tasked with developing innovative processing solutions towards medium and long term projects for Arrium Mining. My responsibilities involved targeted research, full scale plant trials and sampling, laboratory analysis campaigns and results analysis. My role also involved developing commercial evaluations for processing solutions and presenting the outcomes to the Process Development Manager.Role Highlights:•Successfully led a multi discipline team to re-design air cooled refractory walls within the Whyalla Pellet Plant•Organizing and conducting site test work at Derrick Corporation in Buffalo, NY, USA•Commissioning engineer of the Iron Baron ore beneficiation plant in 2012•Presenting to the AusIMM Iron Ore 2013 conference and publishing a paper on the Iron Baron,•Process support for the entire length of the Iron Duke Magnetite Concentrator expansion project•Commissioning engineer of the Iron Duke Magnetite Expansion in 2013

Graduate Chemical Engineer

My role as a graduate involved developing key processing knowledge of each of Arriums processing facilities. I was required to investigate and resolve processing problems through targeted metallurgical sampling and results analysis. I was required to liase with external consultants and laboratories to evaluate processing solutions and report back to the Senior Process Engineer.Role Highlights:•Scope development and execution of major plant metallurgical sampling campaigns,•Processing review of the Iron Duke Magnetite Plant outlining key production deficiencies,•Process review and evaluation of stirred grinding mills in fine grinding applications (<63µm),•Development and execution of two gas flow surveys within the Whyalla Pellet Plant,
