A temporary role to cover a staff absence, I was tasked with guiding pupils on all aspects of the BTEC Level 3 sports course (double and triple courses). Modules included sport as a business, sport coaching, sport leadership and practical sport performance. I also taught 4 hours a week on a BTEC Business Studies course. 0.4 Part time cover. I taught 2 modules to A-Level students taking their final year of the course: sport psychology and history of sport. This involved teaching a variety of engaging lessons and promoting independent learning to young students, as well as the preparation, marking and delivery of mock exams for students. 0.4 Part time cover. I deliver a part timetable of P.E. but also cover lessons when not timetabled. I currently cover both KS3 and KS4 PE, teaching the GCSE course to both year 10 and 11. I am also following the national curriculum with key stage 3, with both boys and girls. I have also completed my NQT year through my role at All Saints'. When I am not in lessons, my cover has provided me with an insight into more teaching in the classroom and has strengthened my behaviour management. It has also meant I have had to think quickly outside of my specialist subject to deliver appropriate lessons to pupils when little or no instruction has been provided.

I was mainly responsible for aiding customers with their shopping and helping them exit the store as quickly as possible. This was always performed in a polite and courteous manner to shoppers of all ages. To improve my skills, I trained in a variety of areas including self-scan, kiosks, supervisor and fireworks selling. Outside of my own department I have also worked on home and leisure, grocery and as a porter. Working with students with special needs on a 1-to-1 basis within classrooms and practical P.E. lessons. Daily record keeping is essential as well as liaison with subject teachers to ensure that pupils achieve their goals despite their different individual needs, Daily record keeping, use of different strategies with various children and preparation of resources and lessons are vital to help the students achieve and excel on their targets. As part of my role in the school I also work in the P.E. department as its basketball coach for the year 10, year 11 and Sixth form teams as I am a level 3 basketball coach. This involves training the team 2 times a week at lunchtimes as well as some additional sessions after school when possible. The teams compete in the Bolton league as well as the England Schools competition. The year 10 team reached the final 50 in the England Schools competition last year while the year 11's won 8 of their 9 games in the Bolton League. In addition to this, I have assisted the other staff with their teams where necessary, taking games, tournaments and practices when they are unavailable. During summer, I have also assisted with athletics practises in a number of disciplines.
