Chris Schindler is the kind of leader you hope to work for. He has such a extensive background that allows him to relate to every situation. His business and financial acumen is strong. He understands the levers that need to be pulled for businesses to be successful. More importantly he understands the interconnectedness of all the pieces and how to get the most out of the whole and he continually drives for success. He will take the most difficult of situations and simplify them, often with a great story. I have seen him adapt to so many diverse situations. Because of his ability to execute he is often called in to be the problem solver. I’ve seen him step into huge chunks of added responsibility, often at a moment. He always approaches with determination, focus, and often a smile. At his core Chris is a leader in every sense of the word. I have found his mentorship to immeasurable valuable. He has challenged me in ways that push me to be the best version of myself but at the same time feel fully supported. His ability to inspire and talent and build strong teams is one of the strongest that I have ever seen or worked for. I will never be able to repay all tutelage or trust he has given me. I have found it an honor to work for Chris and I would do it again without question.

The role was quickly elevated and expanded to direct the strategic retail vision as the P&L owner for the full family of retail brands with a peak of 200 stores and more than 10,000 employees. In this capacity, I headed the full spectrum of financial performance, retail standards, visual merchandising, supply chain, operations, customer service, loss prevention, talent management, and leadership development.
