After joining the Royal Australian Navy in 1984, Chris completed the Fitter and Machining Trade Course and was employed as a Marine Technician. Chris worked in all facets of Mechanical Engineering, including operating and maintenance of ship borne mechanical systems for steam, diesel, gas turbine, diesel electric propulsion and auxiliary mechanical systems. Chris has held such appointments as Engineering Officer of the Watch and Maintenance Officer, Senior Marine Technician, Damage Control Instructors, Technical Adviser and Maintenance Supervisor. Chris achieved his Marine Engineer Officer Charge Qualification in May 2008 and served two years at sea as the Engineer Officer from Jan 2010 to Jan 2012. Show less
