      As a Defence Transport Manager (DTM), I’m Responsible for all aspects of logistics for a fighting force of up to 1200 personnel. This included the resupply of ammunition, food, water, mechanical support and aspects of medical care. Ensured all vehicles are maintained and operated in accordance with JSP 800 Vol 5 and associated publications. Finance: Provided cost data to users of vehicles as required. Operated within financial limits, Provided information for the raising of ‘bills’ to users of vehicles and maintained information regarding the cost of hired vehicles. Administration: Used appropriate MT MIS, Issue and maintain MT standing Orders, local orders and/or SOPs, ensured that transport operating records were maintained and ready for auditing.
