My key accountabilities within this role are;•Lead, motivate and manage a team of Construction Site Managers. Act as a role model for the team in terms of behaviours and values•Plan resources to ensure that there are appropriate levels of construction site management to support the works•Drive consistency in the approach taken to the implementation of processes and management of health, safety and welfare•Provide input to the bid and design teams particularly regarding construction, implementation of processes, constructability, pre-construction and construction planning •Develop site set-up, construction phase and construction logistics management plans•Ensuring that the Group Health & Safety Policy, registers and health and safety plan is actioned and adhered to on all sites•Ensure that site operations deliver completed projects on time while protecting margin and minimising risk•Ensure consistent application of quality management standards and processes across all construction sites•Oversee the management of multiple construction sites•Undertake a “trouble shooter” role when significant issues are encountered with construction management to facilitate the timely and effective resolution of the issues•Make safety inspections of construction sites when work is in progress and ensure regulations and company policy relating to Health, Safety & Environment are adhered to•Apply a “continuous improvement” approach to construction management. Identify areas to be targeted for improvement and implement the changes necessary to deliver these improvements •Work with Health, Safety & Environment team to deliver ‘best in class’ site safety standards and procedures• Assist in the development of project specific fire risk assessments and fire strategy plans• Assist in the development of project specific Emergency Procedure Management Plans• Accountability for the overall implantation of the construction management strategy to the projects being undertaken
