As Project Manager, I am responsible for new installation of anti-terrorist gates and barriers. The high security nature of the clients I deal with means that project sequencing and meticulous planning is vital to ensure sites are not left at risk. Projects values are upwards of 150k GBP and include design, manufacture (in house), install and commissioning of a large range of crash rated products. • Project Manager/Business Development Manager
      • May 2015 - May 2017

After two years at LES, I was promoted to the position of Customer Service Manager in which my responsibilities extended to greater business development. Utilising skills developed in the aftersales business, the new role allowed me to approach potential international clients to demonstrate the benefits of retrofitting new products in coal and biomass power plants. This involved: -Carrying out feasibility studies for prospective clients to assess the benefits of retrofitting new equipment by delivering on-site surveys (including coal/biomass particle fineness testing using a real-time laser probe and laser scanning equipment to establish initial installation plans) and then generating reports based on findings.-Global travel to visit international clients as a key representative for the company and delivering presentations at various stages in the relationship.-Involvement in marketing strategies, generating literature and visiting conferences.-Managing proposals from infancy through to order placement (up to the value of £1.2m GBP).-Developing global business strategies in a constantly evolving market.During my final year with the company, I was requested to help develop the spares business in the new manufacturing workshop based in India. Working from the UK and also while visiting the workshop in Chennai, this required me to delegate to a team of people working across the purchasing, shipping, accounts and manufacturing departments.

    • Project Manager (After Sales)
      • May 2013 - May 2015

As Aftersales Engineer, I was responsible for establishing strong connections with clients following completion of main projects while maintaining relationships with long term clients for global energy sector projects. This involved delivering proposals for modifications, upgrades, new services, spare parts and employing further business development strategies. The key aspects of my role were diverse and included:-Independently managing enquiries and orders from international clients and promptly providing quotations and executing orders for spare parts, services and upgrades.-Working efficiently to firm deadlines with associated liquidated damages, I worked closely with all departments and developed good working knowledge of processes throughout the company (financial reporting / forecasting, technical drawings, project flows and sales proposals).-Surpassing sales targets set by the corporate group (targets increased year on year) with annual order values exceeding £4m GBP as well as meeting target profit margins.-Processing warranty claims, providing cost analysis and reviewing drawings and parts lists to ascertain required action and source appropriate suppliers.-Managing strong supplier relationships.-Reviewing terms and conditions for international trade against my comprehensive knowledge of shipping (i.e. Incoterms) and working with freight forwarders to meet delivery dates.-Using SAP and working with the SAP team to help develop new processes to increase efficiency within the growing aftersales business.-Independent departmental budget management

    • Project Manager (After Sales)
      • Jun 2011 - May 2013

In the position of Project Manager, I developed projects from the stage of a concept proposal from the client through to a commissioned system. I quickly became the key manager for the reactive perimeter security maintenance of high security companies such as G4S (25 sites), Royal Bank of Scotland (20 sites) and Royal Mail (25 sites). This involved surveying sites and interfacing with contract managers, site security teams, company directors and the system end-users throughout projects.During this time, I developed a comprehensive understanding of company operations and have confidence that my experience will transfer effectively to a variety of project management roles.
