Product Manager
-
Feb 2009 - Nov 2013
My role of Product Manager has focussed predominantly on Sports Nutrition for Holland and Barrett and GNC working directly under the Category Manager. I have worked with the Food Buying team, Beauty, Aromatherapy and Vitamins, Minerals and Supplements, both branded and own-label. This has provided me with an exceptional insight into the day to day running of a multi-channel business with an excellent high-street presence. I am predominantly responsible for buying branded lines for Sports Nutrition, Sports Equipment and Weight Management across the UK and Ireland estates as well as supporting the Category Manager with own label products. I see products from concept, sourcing and market research to shelf requiring a detailed knowledge of NPD & product innovation, promotional activities, forecasting, competitor analysis, stock control and sales. I utilise effective communication and relationship building skills with key internal and external stakeholders to deliver new products and ultimately meet and exceed business targets. Show less

Regular use was made of the ProDiver system to generate reports on component stock • Excel with VBA used to provide automated macro solutions where repetitive manual effort was previously required. The automated solutions I developed were utilised by the majority of internal staff. Show less
