The Creative Communities Assistant will support the Participation Assistant and Creative Communities Manager in the day-to-day operations and running of the Young Company, communicating with parents, young people, and tutors. Principal responsibilities include: - Project lead for student associate scheme - Managing the department email address: replying to emails from parents regarding enquiries for the Young Company, - Being the point of contact for tutors and assistants for day to day enquires / questions. Share crucial information with tutors and assistants and keep track of DBS, contracts and insurances. Arrange cover for tutors / assistants. - Supporting the Creative Communities Manager with other admin tasks including drafting emails, gathering reporting information and stats and support in timetabling and programming. Collaborate with the Transitions Team to ensure that video content is relevant and appropriate. Draft short outline ‘scripts’ for video content and editing/redrafting as required. Follow technical guidance to ensure the quality of video content. Act as an ambassador for the University, promoting its ethos, opportunities and services and enhancing its reputation to share positive experiences of, and enthusiasm for Lancaster University. Attend all training specific to the role. Empathise and encourage students to engage in online events through a non-judgemental approach.
