Estimator
-
Mar 2015 - Nov 2015
Secondment to Nottinghamshire County Council as an Estimator/QS for Nottinghamshire Highway Operations. My role involved pricing internal County schemes and working alongside the Contract Managers to build up an accurate target cost for schemes, enabling the Client to manage their budgets and getting value for money. I also worked on competitive quotes and tenders to bid for external works from developers and private companies for S38 and S278 schemes, which is becoming an increasingly important part of the County's work. This also leads to liaising with the Developer and their Designers to progress the scheme to construction.
