I advised BACNOMAS (the Boston Architectural College's chapter of NOMA, the National Organization for Minority Architects) during Chris' time in various officer roles within the organization (2010-2013). Despite that he has graduated, I still occasionally turn to Chris for guidance when working with student groups, or meet him to attend social justice programs in the area. He was a very dedicated student leader, and truly lives the mission of NOMA -- to "...champion diversity within the design professions by promoting the excellence, community engagement, and professional development of its members." As a student leader, Chris was incredibly professional and pleasant to work with. Chris consistently had innovative, yet attainable event ideas, often drawing on his contacts within the Boston community to collaborate on an event. The student organization meetings that he ran were always very entertaining to attend. Chris has a personable way of being able to keep everyone organized and on task, but not lose the fun. He is very balanced in that way.
