During the Summer of 2018 I was an officer within the 450 strong Irish Battalion who were deployed close to the troubled Israeli-Lebanese Border. As B Coy Training and Operations Officer, UNIFIL (Lebanon)my duties included the day-to-day overseas operations which included training, supervision and assignment delegation for 120-person team. This led to me having responsibility for all the planning, coordination and executing of all operations both in training and real scenarios to ensure mission success throughout the 6 month period in an extremely challenging environment.
