Lead physician, Computed Tomography: In the first 12 months of practice, I have contributed to the reduction (up to 50%) of radiation exposure for routine CT examinations of the abdomen and pelvis, through revision of protocols, and reduction of combined examinations as well as delayed scans. I also helped institute an "ultrasound first" policy for pediatric appendicitis, low dose chest CT for pulmonary nodules and revised the IV contrast administration and premedication policies. Body MRI As the primary reader of Body MRI, I have written or revised all body MRI protocols of the abdomen and pelvis for the 3T Siemens Verio scanner. I have also revised the gadolinium administration policy to optimize image quality and patient safety.
