Attended lectures at the National Institute for Traditional Medicine (IMET) and National University of the Peruvian Amazon’s Institute of Research (UNAP/IIAP) to learn about the uses of plants found in the Amazon as medicines, toxicology, ethnobotany, pharmacology, and pharmacognosy as well as workshops and guided tours of medicinal plants and trees in various jungle reserves. • Kept a daily journal reflecting on daily activities while adhering to the daily learning objectives.• Created a 10-plant portfolio on medicinal plants found in the Amazon jungle that included the family, genus, species, uses and preparation(s) for each plant.
