United Rental’s lost a great leader when they had to close our branch and move Chris to another location. Chris Kelly's style of management was impressive. He trusted his employees to do what was right, gave us the tools, skills and freedom to do the job right. He gave great support without making an employee feel micromanaged and he stopped the ‘you know what’ from rolling downhill. What I liked the best about working for Chris was that he helped me to be a better employee and always had great advice and tips on how to do my job better or smarter. The advice was always given in a way that was helpful and not as criticism. I always appreciated Chris going to bat for our team, and creating a positive safety culture for our branch. Chris truly cared about his people and asked sincere questions and listen to our answers. He was very good about never disciplining any employees around their peers. I miss working with such an open, honest, consistent, and dependable manager.
