      • Nov 2017 - Present

I am working to make it easier for the people of Georgia to learn about the great work being done by the Georgia Mental Health Consumer Network to improve behavioral health services throughout the state. The dozens of programs and initiatives of GMHCN, which were previously promoted as independent units, are being systematically brought into a unified visual style and vernacular. I am responsible for all media (digital, print, social, marketing, and events). I get to be involved in multiple initiatives of GMHCN, including the Fulton County Justice and Mental Health Task Force, and the Recovery Community Organization Development Project. I help to write federal and private grants, and I represent the behavioral health community at functions across the state. I am also a part of the the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Service Administration's Southeast Mental Health Technology Transfer Center through Emory University, and travel across eight states in the southeast providing technical assistance to other states seeking to improve mental health supports and resources. With six facilities throughout the state and nearly 100 employees, GMHCN is one of the largest peer-led organizations in the country. It's an extraordinary place to work, and extraordinarily good work to do.
