My role in the Compliance Team developed alongside the new model of regulation introduced by the CQC. This included managing the registration of the Trust with the CQC, ensuring new services were correctly registered and working with CQC registration inspectors to ensure services could be succesfully registered. This also included working with clinical staff to understand registration and ensure the right information was provided to inspectors to ensure registration was processed. The other element of the role was working to ensure compliance with CQC standards was maintained on an ongoing basis and preparing for any large scale inspections by the CQC. During inspection, I managed a central hub to recieve immediate feedback to be communicated to the Executive Team on a daily basis and coordinate any information requests made by CQC inspectors. Following the inspections, I managed the factual accuracy process and developed action plans required to address issues raised by the CQC. This included reviewing reports published to provide context to actions and working with managers to understand the reasons issues have been raised to better focus the actions identified.
