These models are high level Customer Solutions in the client interface area of major organisations, setting up Vocational Training centres across South and the working with the public sector in terms of a “Skills at Schools” approach. The involvement of the GEMS group through ARC Skills means that we have the ability to take CBM Training out into the rest of the world, expanding our geographical footprint, as well as expanding the South African Operation with the aim of becoming the largest skills training organisation in Africa.   I started CBM Training in 1999 and it has grown to be one of the largest Corporate Training companies in South Africa, having trained more than 90,000 people from 13,000 of South Africa's top companies with a lecturer faculty of more than 80 top flight consultants. Winner of the Skills Portal "Best Training Company in South Africa", we do business in 5 African countries and run more than 50 public programmes a month and are the market leader in our area of specialization. We purchased a run-down Italian restaurant and converted this into a 4 Star Corporate Conference Centre (www.jhbccc.co.za) and purchased adjacent properties to expand the conference centre and build a 4 Star Guest House (www.gvgh.co.za) and recently launched a catering company, Urban Spoon Catering (www.urbanspoon.co.za) that is growing daily and managed by my wife, Bianca. Other companies successfully launched into the group include Seminar Warehouse, CBM Data and Data Express In February 2015 a majority share in CBM Training was acquired by the ARC Skills division of the Dubai based GEMS Education group, one of the largest suppliers of education in the world.
