IT - teaching across a range of levels from Level 2 to Level 5 (second year of the FdSc in Computer Games Development, but mostly at BTEC Level 3 90 Credit and Extended Diplomas in IT. I taught on this course throughout my time at Sussex Downs, and was Course Leader from 2012-2015. I mostly taught units relating to web development, systems analysis, e-commerce and communication skills, but also gained experience of teaching logic and advanced data structures (Level 5), games development, and more business-oriented units. This also involved setting and marking assignments, student management, and liaising with internal verifiers and members of the management team. Between 2012 and 2015, as Course Leader, I also had responsibility for interviewing potential new students. Maths - from September 2015-June 2016 I was also teaching GCSE Maths at the Lewes campus three days a week and Functional Skills Maths (mostly Level 1) at Eastbourne one day a week. Much of my role was teaching, marking and facilitating achievement by working with learners to improve their understanding. My GCSE role also involved arranging and marking mock exams. Show less
