Joined Tailwind with a focus on translating business strategy for individuals using a defined critical thinking template. Then worked on a large project to create a comprehensive executive development program for a Fortune 100 company. Most recently, I have been applying my expertise in proficiency-based learning design to help a large client:-blend operational and leadership learning, -align learning priorities with specific strategic priorities-leverage data on learning to ascertain both who is ready and which investments are worthwhile-accelerate the learning curve of their field employees-offer a development path to every employee Show less

Dragonfish installs ecologically sensitive moorings, salvages sunken boats, and maintains all kinds of underwater infrastructure on Lake Champlain. However, we can install your ecologically sensitive moorings anywhere in the world. We offer scuba certifications with an emphasis on the emotions and decision-making that are part of every dive and diver. We can also help you plan the perfect dive vacation to destinations like Little Cayman, Cozumel, Andros, the Florida Keys, Aruba, Exuma, and many more! Check out the scenery around Cozumel, Mexico: https://youtu.be/jcc-BZky9-E Or learn how to catch lobsters in the Florida Keys: https://youtu.be/34NUiQ3Xor4 My work in Dragonfish forces me to balance daily goals with ongoing risk management and uncertainties. It's always different, and unique challenges are part of the work. Whether it's helping a new diver overcome their fear as they work toward their certification, or working with my technical dive team to replace 2000lb filters at 90', in complete darkness, with a 28 minute time limit...this work always pushes me to take on new layers of insight into the human elements of operational high performance. In this role, I was fortunate to develop deep expertise in Proficiency-Based Learning Systems. I worked with district leaders as they began to transform their schools from "content-based" to "proficiency-based" learning systems. As the primary liaison between Superintendents and the Vermont State Agency of Education, I became a trusted adviser to leadership teams trying to optimize the quality of educational services while adhering to budget constraints. Burlington is a wonderful school, in a beautiful town, and there are 42 languages spoken in the High School everyday. As a refugee resettlement town, Burlington is fortunate to bring kids and families together from many parts of the world. As an English teacher, I created and implemented curriculum for all students in grade 9-12, including Advanced Placement. Because I placed emphasis on clear, rational thinking, I frequently used visual representations of thinking processes to help kids organize the basics of their logic (before they ground out the essay). My dream was that all of my students become powerful, compassionate thinkers capable of fulfilling their individual dreams. I also operated a non-profit, after-school club that hosted climbing, hiking, biking, white-water rafting, sailing, and kayaking. In the winter, I was the guy who organized the bus to take all the kids to the mountain for skiing and snowboarding. (Side note: the best part about organizing these clubs was how I became a nexus of gear donations. Because of this, I was able plug kids into some phenomenal outdoor experiences that they otherwise would not have been able to afford.) Show less
