Design and product maintenance of the full product line of fire hydrants and water valves. Made the first model of a full valve and hydrant assembly in SolidWorks. Introduced the company to Finite Element Analysis then used it to model and redesign the 60 resilient wedge gate valve prototype after initial failure. First full 3-D design of a new wet barrel hydrant including FEA and Fluid Flow analysis. Then building, testing and passing all testing standards on the first prototype with no redesign necessary. Performed outside the box thinking on the design of fire hydrant display racks for the new sales vehicles using as many production parts as possible. Assisted the Clow Foundry and Clow Machine Shop with production issues daily. Everything from pattern tooling collaboration to CNC machine programs assistance. A general technical resource for the full company.
