Career History HM Forces Army 3rd Battalion the Royal Regiment of Scotland (The Black Watch) • 2013 - Wyre Marine Ltd – employed as a deck hand operator and trainee excavator driver for a dredging company around the UK & Ireland. • 2012 -Close Protection course – successfully completed the G4S Phoenix Close Protection course encompassing personal protection, First person on the scene (FPOSi) intermediate (Defib & Oxygen therapy) and skills in security, surveillance, detection, instinctive driving (SDID), Risk Assessment, Operational Planning & Safe Route Selection, Reconnaissance Techniques, Weapons Trained. • 2009 - Deployed to Afghanistan as a progressive Corporal in Musa Qal’eh District in Helmand province as a team member of a Operational Mentoring and Liaison Team (OMLT) operating along side the Afghan National Army (ANA) conducting patrols and reconnaissance in hostile areas gaining knowledge and showing presence on the ground and inter-acting with the Afghan locals ensuring the security of the district, top cover/watch keeper duties, Counter Operations with Foreign Forces, all in arduous, rigorous and challenging austere conditions. • 2007 - Deployed to Iraq as an ambitious Lance Corporal in Basrah Palace. Experienced in crew commander of armoured vehicles doing objectives such as *convoy patrols,* night patrols, *mobile patrols, *suppression of the enemy/objective,* reconnaissance, *gained valuable medical experience dealing with gunshot wounds and blast injures. • 2006/7 - Deployed to Northern Ireland as a motivated Private soldier in Crossmaglen, experienced in all aspects of rural patrols, riot training, all arms searched trained, and navigational skills, Operating VHF and HF communication equipment including Bowman.
