Sales Assistant
-
Jul 2016 - Jul 2017
In this role I served customers on a busy market stall twice a week at Maidstone Market in Kent. I was required to use my charismatic personality to attract potential customers to the stall, where I would then engage with them and sell them produce, as well as negotiate with them on price. Towards the end of the day, we were often required to focus customers attention to specific products that had not been sold to reduce waste. This is where I was required to really use my sales skills to temp customers to buy stock that they may never had intended to purchase that day.

Sales Assistant

Nov 2015 - Feb 2017
SportsDirect operated a sales’ commission incentive for high performers in the store. Due to my excellent customer service & sales skills, I placed in the top six of the leaderboard results regularly. This role involved serving customers on the shop floor, where I aimed to increase add-on sales (customers buying accessories with their main purchase) and ‘up-sell’ to more expensive items wherever possible to increase the overall size of the sale, my commission & place my on the leaderboard. I also operated the till, checked stock, ran stock takes and dealt with deliveries.
