Experienced leader managing Engineering teams in (3) area locations across the United States, covering 6 programs and 5 ship classes. Manages day to day operations, troubleshooting, and installation work onboard the Landing Platform Dock, LPD17 Class ships for Raytheon Technologies and acts as a liaison between the East Coast San Antonio Class ships and our Engineering team to ensure that schedules and budgets are maintained, and that various systems are operated safely and efficiently. Coordinate the repair and maintenance functions of systems to minimize loss of revenue and cost of repairs. Maintain contact with, and formulate reports for, contractors and clients to ensure completion of work in a timely manner. Investigate casualties to determine cause, and advises ship’s force in methods of repair; and provides training if casualty resulted from incorrect operation to prevent recurrence. Prepare technical reports for use by engineering and management personnel. Investigate and observe tests of systems for compliance with standards. Evaluate operation of systems during acceptance testing and shakedown cruises. Prepare, or direct the preparation of, product or system layouts and detailed drawings and schematics. Oversee installation, testing, and repair of various systems. Coordinate activities to ensure repairs and alterations are at minimum cost, consistent with safety. Inspect various systems to review work requests and job specifications. Confer with subject matter experts to clarify or resolve problems and to develop or modify designs. Coordinates with the supply chain to procure materials needed to repair systems. Maintain records of equipment maintenance and repairs.
