The Sustainability Office was established as one of the first of its kind in North America, harnessing the energy of students, staff and faculty to drive environmental innovation. Chris managed the growth of the Sustainability Office from 6 to more than 30 full and part-time employees and was responsible for employee and stakeholder management, strategic planning, and budget administration. He successfully established the university’s first greenhouse gas and resource inventory and a cross-campus Sustainability Board, supervised the roll-out of a comprehensive community based social marketing campaign for energy efficiency, and was key to the implementation of energy efficiency projects.
