Student Accommodation Design - Keele/Durham. Enhancing Revit Models to the building regulation stages up to final construction and with swift post construction maintenance available with data ready at a request. Specifically I worked on window design here that enabled parametric models to be modified simply - dependant on the different reasons they needed to be adapted for. Creation and scheduling of BIM families, set adjustable parameter options for client review(s).Designing, costing and calculating properties whilst exploring solutions via site environmental analysis for the "e4 Wienerberger Project". Current tasks include:Sending CAD models to selected customers and obtaining feedback on its suitability to projects.Comparing global models to find common elements with a view to recommending common working methods and reducing costs.Investigating into how CAD models supplied by VG could reduce cost.Scoping out size and cost of the project to complete a library of product and accessories for the Western Region.Involvement with RIBA ensured the promotion of BIM at VG with support from NBS systems that provided prospects for end-users to download the BIM heating systems and content created with ease.Presented to EU representatives of VG to capitalise on the project and to push forward BIM products out at the best quality. Furthermore, inventing a USP to potentially gain an advantage in the market to our competitors.Updating the regional associates within France with a BIM Strategy to prepare the team with the policies that take place for all public sector projects within 2016.Attend regular architectural seminars, BIM Show Live, Ecobuild and the BRE event at the Innovation Park in Watford where the "e4 Wienerberger Project" was constructed.Telephone/video conferences to the collaborative companies to effectively communicate the direction of the execution plan with user-friendly information to drive towards the team target and eliminate any future problems.

I worked at The Martin Design Partnership alongside a 4 person team (formed by two professional Partners: Scott Moore & Stewart Martin), an Architectural Technician and Practice Manager, which were based in South Wigston, Leicester. The company employed me as an (internship) architectural technologist on my second placement through my year of industry on the DPP. Commercial and residential sector work, that includes: A first floor office extension at the Sturgess Jaguar/Land Rover car showroom and local bridge redevelopment based in Leicester.I completed drawings for proposed schemes, with: Plans/sections/elevations/site plans/ levelling plans/ site boundaries and construction details. These drawings were completed to presentation standard to the correct specification.I was able to keep up to date with the companies deadlines and got involved with a variety of different proposals and site surveys- bringing provided dimensions/levels/photographic references back to the office. The complete concept proposals were sent to each local council through the eportal planning application website (in PDF format) with design access statements attached. My latest project reached to the construction phase for a residential development as foundations on the dwelling extension began construction. Additionally, I answered the phone to the clients and passed on the required information to the team whilst completing proposal drawings to push the company forward and to work to the best of my abilities.

I was employed as an (internship) architectural designer working with 3 additional employees and the principle of the company: Sat Garg at an architectural design firm, Akarstudios LA, California. This involved planning up to a final design concept through the use of hand-drawn and CAD programmes, such as: Vectorworks, Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp, Maxwell, ArchiCAD, AutoCAD, Artlantis, Revit and 3DS MAX Design. I worked alongside 2 Architectural Designers and a Studio Manager, alternating through projects to develop with the team: knowledge/involvement of each concept.I completed interior designs/plans/construction details for projects such as: Emerald Express - a Chinese grab & go restaurant which required me to insert the grab and go specification correctly into a Chinese themed storefront design which attained the attention of the audience.Tommy V's Pizzeria - I provided front/ side/floor elevations with the designers using Illustrator and Photoshop to incorporate the researched specification into the visual.Georgian hotel - I site surveyed dimensions including level heights of the local hotel front in the correct metric measurements and formed a 3D sketchup proposal from drawn Vectorwork plans also including a detailed front elevation to scale.Encino house (Hollywood) - this concept was for the clients outdoor extension, where the proposals for design were experimented for the client to visualise from Photoshop. Each proposal was given a set layer for the client to view and compare the designs. I had involvement/discussions with a client at the office completing a housing/kitchen concept. Alterations were made in Sketchup with the client explaining requests at my side to enable the client to immediately visualise where elements were and changes were made efficiently.Additions: Answering client calls, US metric system.
