The venture saw opportunity in an emerging market with more efficient wind turbines and I transitioned to this project. After researching aerodynamics and wind (old and new) technology I utilized biomimicry to develop a blade that uses drag to pull the turbine blade more effectively drawing energy from wind.We are currently testing the design at BYU with two faculty members and several students through a grant we are funding.
