Chris was an outstanding ICT support officer providing services to the teaching environment and the office area. After some years he worked for both i-solutions (University of Southampton ICT support) and the Science Learning Centre South East (SLC), dividing his time between the two on a priority basis. The centre was equipped with a suite of laptops, desktops and video-conferencing facilities as well as a large range of digital tools for laboratory work (microscopes, dataloggers, cameras etc.). Staff (both office and academic) occasionally needed instruction in the use of software and devices and Chris undertook this task.
